It’s not much.

There are all these articles flying around about how important voting is this year.
There is probably more awareness than ever before among the Indian urban youth about how crucial that little mark of ink on our finger is in 2009.
Well, here’s another one.
I am not an India citizen. I hold a Polish passport. But I really, really wish I could go out and express my political will tomorrow. Because, if I had the chance to, I wouldn’t give up the one chance I have, as an Indian citizen, to poke the higher authorities on the shoulder and remind them of my existence, tell them to get off that chair, or stay on it.
So please, exercise your right to vote.
Go out tomorrow. It doesn’t really take much time. It’s a holiday anyway!
For my peers, take a well-deserved break from studying.
For my juniors, it’s not “uncool”. You can skip a lunch date, or a movie with friends. There aren’t any good ones running, anyway (unless you want to watch ‘The Royal Utsav’).
Sports fans, the IPL only starts in the evening.
I have no more reasons for anyone else, sadly.
So I will ask you one last time.
Think about who you want to vote for. Vote for the person, not the party.
Vote for who you think will make the most difference in your constituency.
Just vote.
